Keynote | Closer Than They Appear: Bold, Plausible Futures for Life and Work in the Agentic Age
Catherine Coffin: Director of Foresight and Competitive Intelligence, Salesforce
AI is becoming radically more capable, and the future it brings is closer than it looks. In this opening keynote, a futurist invites participants into a series of bold, plausible scenarios for work in 2030. Each one challenges today’s assumptions about value, purpose, productivity, and human connection.
Using recent research from the Salesforce Work Innovation Lab, it looks at the human choices built into each scenario. Where should AI lead, assist, or stay out entirely? How can organizations create more personalized, meaningful, and delightful experiences while keeping human agency, trust, and accountability intact? Along the way, it makes the case for a human-centered future: one where agents take on more of the work, and people gain more room to use their judgment, creativity, and connection. The most successful future of work will be the most human-centered one.
